For those of you who missed Daniel Johnston at the Blind Pig last night, I thought that I’d post a few video clips. I hope you enjoy them.
Walking the Cow and Speeding Motorcycle
For those of you who were there, I was the old, non-hipster who was standing near the front, and sweating profusely. (I could literally feel the water running down my neck. It was as though someone was holding a hose to the side of my head. It was so bad that the first thing I did when I got up this morning was google “disgusting sweating man + Ann Arbor + Blind Pig.” I was certain that someone had started an online discussion about me. Fortunately, I haven’t found anything… yet.)

He was selling signed photocopies of his black and white drawings. I didn’t see how much they were going for. I think $10. Not bad for a $.07 copy. Still, they were beautiful. As was the whole show.

Loved the Walking the Cow clip :) I (very sadly) had never really heard of Daniel Johnston until a few years ago when I watched a documentary about him called ‘Daniel Johnston and the Devil’… one of the best doc’s I’ve ever seen.
Did he ever come back and do an encore? I had to get out of there. Great show, though.
I think the first song is called, “I’m So Tired”
No encore. Very sad.
You appear to have been a lot closer to the stage than I was.
To be sweatier than Daniel Johnston is quite the accomplishment.
Great show, but this guy would have been a better opening act than the guy they had.
And sweaty men make better lovers. Or so I have been told by people who enjoy making love to sweaty men.
I don’t get it. He sounds terrible! Is that the point? Cool concert poster, tho; I almost went on that basis alone.
