I met some friends tonight for dinner at the Tap Room. During our meal, it came up that pints of Oberon are just $2.25 on Fridays there. It got me thinking, now that spring is here, it probably makes sense to start a thread on local drink specials. Everyone, I’m assuming, already knows that at the Sidetrack 25 oz. drafts of anything on tap are just $2.95 during happy hour (Sun 9PM–1AM, Mon 4PM-6PM and 9PM-1AM, Tue–Thur 4PM-6PM and 10PM-1AM, Fri-Sat 11PM-1AM), but I’m sure there are other ones that aren’t so well known… So, if you know of one, and you’re willing to share, leave a comment. And feel free to include the bars in the greater Ypsilanti area. People in Ann Arbor, after all, need to drink too.

I joined the Eagles. Dues are 30/year. Beers are always 1.75, with Monday being dollar beer nights. I recommend it highly. Hell, I’ll even sponsor someone if interested.
Although I always hate myself a little for drinking in a corporate chain restaurant/bar, Bar Louie in Ann Arbor has $2 drafts for all beers (and they have a decent selection) 4-7PM.
I’ve heard Bar Louie described as a “cougar bar.” Any truth to it?
Hmm, what do cougers look like? The only wildlife I’ve noticed at Bar Louie are the Googleites who work upstairs. You can always pick them out by the Google-logoed accessories they wear.

I think the googlies are too young by definition to be cougars… And by “Eagles,” Mr Reynolds, do you mean the place on Cross that used to be Vinyl Joes? I wasn’t aware that they sold memberships… So, any other regular drink specials?
And some nights are cheaper at the Brewery than other nights. I think it’s Tuesdays and Sundays, but I can never keep it straight.
I feel the same way Zach does…a part of me dies when I spend money there, but they do have a nice MI beer selection. Oy.
Don’t forget that the Corner has specials for its mug club members! We get $1 off of beer and discounts on growlers. (You can now use this discount at ABC, too!) They have happy hour from 4-7 every weekday and all day Monday (it used to also be 8-12 on Saturdays, but they changed it to earlier in the day)

Last Friday night, I bought ten pints of Oberon. They were $2.50 each.
During the day… not that I drink a lot during the day… I believe they generally have big cans of beer for about that same price.
