I suspect this is real, but I suppose it could be fakery of some kind. I’m easily duped… If real, though, it’s amazing, and kind of terrifying.
Very cool new GE web technology

Wouldn’t it be cool if, every time your computer saw you reading something with George Bush’s face on it, like a newspaper, a giant, 3D dog would walk out, sniff him, and drop an enormous, glistening turd?
One question. Can I put my wiener in it?
And, if so, will it feel good?
I am pretty sure it’s real. It would almost be as difficult to fake something like that as it would be to actually do it. The only difference would be the live optical recognition software operating off the webcam feed.
It’s real. Just go to GE’s plugintothegrid.com.
Sorry: Plugintothesmartgrid.com
It looks cool, but I couldn’t get it to work on my Mac. Boo.
I wonder how long it will be before GE can take my incoming webcam image and alter it in ways so that it would look like I have a life.
