I heard a Radiolab podcast a couple of weeks ago which included a story about chimeras. (1 person with 2 sets of DNA- the result of fraternal twins fusing at the embryonic stage) It’s been occupying my brain for a while now. just. so. weird.
I’m thinking about the hidden long-term benefits of depression. I know some people don’t believe there’s any artistic benefit to it, but I disagree. Take a bunch of sweet wholesomeness, crush it, ferment it with depression, and you have yourself some tasty adult beverage that makes people feel better. Not that it’s a pleasant process in the least, but good does come of it eventually, provided you stick it out and make something positive of it. Just my experience, I could be wrong.
I love the emphasis the last week or so on speed limit enforcement. Especially on Forest.
I am sad that one target is the stretch of Clark? by the abandoned warehouse, where the limit is 25. That is a stretch of extra wide one-way road, multiple lanesm, with zero driveways, zero cross street, and zero visibility issues.
3 blocks ahead, it is a 35mph zone. There are blind driveways, crosswalks, multiple business driveways, parking lot entrances, blind hills and turns, etc. And, no speed traps. A little further down you have all these plus a 45mph zone.
Could we perhaps drive around and oh, chase hookers around with the squad car floodlight or something, instead of pulling people over for driving 33mph where is is actually safe to do so (as opposed to driving 35-45 where that is legal but unsafe/ less safe).
Don’t stop with the speeding inforcement. Go ahead, pull some people over on michigan as well; it won’t hurt you. And it will make walking to the businesses on Michigan feel like something one wants to do. Michigan is 25mph thru Saline, after all. This is possible.
The mind deprived of oxygen rhymes then grows still…
Demolish me inside Hudson’s Department Store
If you kill dreams, kill me.
Ten thousand dumpsters cannot absolve you of your sin
Discarded bodies discarded buildings desecration
On your alter of opportunity your jail your guardian angel…
And wonder why you’re naked and no liquor
Can soothe the pain, no music
Is loud enough, demolish and erase
But you cannot
Escape…
is my comment really awaiting moderation? gosh. did you think that was a porn link? — no, on 2nd thought, in this group (chuckles) that would’ve been accepted STAT!
I’m thinking about beehives. I’m about to switch from stacking Langstroth hives to Kenyan top bar hives . I’m thinking how to switch over my management techniques… I’m thinking I’m happy for the rain.

It would take twice as long to track them down for murder if they worked at a q-tip factory. The perfect crime.

I think Obama is really gunning to top Bush as worst President ever. This shit is rediculous.
I’m thinking about instituting an annual “Eat a Steak for Lunch” day.
Here in Ypsi, we have a place where you can sell your blood plasma for money. To my knowledge, however, we do not have a place like this. (And that last link may be a little bit NSFW)
Ah, you have to abstain for four days prior. I knew there was a catch.
