Introducing the McGoatse

I wasn’t aware of the McDonalds 99-cent menu hack known as the McGangBang until this evening, when my friend George told me about it. Basically, it’s a McChicken sandwich, tucked inside of a Double Cheeseburger. As both items are on the McDonalds 99-cent menu, it’s $2.16 for the complete package, and, apparently it’s taking the nation by storm… Anyway, it got me thinking about the possibility of creating a similar kind of fast food mash-up and calling it a McGoatse. So, as I’m sitting here at my desk tonight, when I should be thinking about my post on Rush Limbaugh, I can’t keep from wondering what a hot, juicy McGoatse would look like. The closest I could come is this – it’s a McDonald’s Double Cheeseburger, hollowed out all the way down to the bottom bun, and then filled with Wendy’s chili. And, then, on top of it all, maybe there would be a couple of KFC chicken tenders dipping into the chili hole from the sides, like hands…. A free beer for the first person who can construct one of these and send me a photo.

For those of you unfamiliar, you can educate yourself on all things goatse, here.

And, I should mention that the McGangBang link in the post is completely work-safe.

Surely someone out there has a better idea as to how to construct a McGoatse… Please contribute your ideas.

Like Hillary Clinton says, it takes a village to design a McGoatse.

The fact that your first two replies were from yourself suggests that you are the only one here obsessed with this topic. You’re the only goatse obsessed person I know, even though it’s supposed to be some internet trend you picked up on, and I only hear about it from your site.

Of course, maybe there’s a high demand for this other topic from your other readers, who may have been too busy looking for the real thing elsewhere to comment on your post. But I suspect it’s just you.

Thanks Mark. Thanks alot. I’ve been trying to rid my mind of Goatse since college. I thought it was gone. I’ll be sending my therapy bill to your house. Hope Clementine had a great Christmas 2008 because ’09 is gonna suck.

You’ve just ruined Micky D’s for me.

I like the idea of a mashup requiring three stops, and I’d eat a McGoatse like the one you describe. I even have three dollars. I don’t have a camera though. I could, however, make it and draw it.

All this talk of goatse and Rush Limbaugh has me really wanting to Google them together and see what comes up. The idea is thrilling, but, at the same time, terrifying. It’s like being in love for the first time all over again.

Could you do it at Burger King instead? I’d prefer a flame-broiled McGoatse.

It’s bad enough that I have to deal with BoingBoing’s occasional obsession with goatse. But now, here? It’s not that the thing itself is horrible, it’s just I have to squash the urge to smack down every inner third grader who still drags the damn thing on. Alas, we live in troubled times. Is there a bribe I could offer you to never mention it again? I’ll offer two dozen homemade cookies (Cliff Stoll cookies, my standard bribe).

    That McGangBang looks vile.

But how about the McGoatse? It looks good, right?

    Has anyone made one?

I want to send you a photo, but I am not an intellectual. Try as I might. I ran into this page mistakenly, surprisingly, this is a great website about the McGoatse. The site owner has carried out a superb job of putting it together, in all of its layers. The thoughtful construction makes me swell with admiration. It is like watching the first skyscraper scrape the sky. You just secured yourself a guarenteed reader for life.

[…] I don’t know that there’s much distinction in being named Best Local Blog by Ann Arbor’s free monthly magazine, the Current, especially when the blog to place second, Ann Arbor is Overrated, has only been updated once in the past year, but, still, I wanted to say thank you. Thanks to the two or three of you out there who took the time to take the Current poll and fill in my name. It’s nice to know that there are a few people out there reading. I never thought that I’d top the thrill of being named the 8th Most Influential Political Blogger in the Least Influential State, but I guess it goes to show you that you should never stop striving to be the best.
