I don’t feel like blogging tonight, so, instead, I’ve decided to force you to watch a clip from one of my favorite childhood television shows, Ultraman.
While we’re on the subject, I should also mention that the best Christmas present I ever got was from Linette about fourteen years ago, when we lived in Atlanta. She found a guy who had all the episodes of the 1966 Ultraman on videotape and paid him to make me a bootleg. How cool is that?

Sorry, but, for some reason, the video isn’t showing up.
I don’t have time to look into it now.
Here’s the link though:

You could tell the monster lost its equilibrium when the phallic laser beams shot off the monsters ear.
I liked that episode where the kids draw monsters with chalk on the sidewalk and the one drawing somehow gets irradiated and turns into a real monster.
No need for a bootleg. Your local Ypsilanti District Library has a copy.

That’s my favorite episode too, Ken… Or at least that’s the most memorable.
And I can’t tell from the listing, Dave, if those are videos of the original 1966 series from Japan, but I will definitely check them out. Thanks.
It was annoying that Ultraman’s low battery charge warning light would start going off seconds after he powered up. I never understood why they had to do that. It became like the boy who cried wolf. That fucking thing was going off continuously.
My wife did the same for me once. I also got some Johny Socko too.
