A local fireman who reads this blog just wrote to tell me that he’d received an email slamming Barack Obama as a threat to the American way of life. As he knew the information in it was false, he wrote to the sender, challenging her on it. Perhaps not surprisingly, the woman from whom it came claimed to have no knowledge of it. Here’s her response.
No, I’m VERY upset about this e-mail. I have no idea who the author is & who decided to put my name on it & send it out from our church e-mail address. It’s very disturbing!
I did not write it!!! I have no idea what is true & false about it.
If you know who sent it to you, please let them know I DID not write it. I’d like to get my name cleared from this.

After what the current administration has done to this country, I can’t say the pledge of allegiance either. It is very hard to pledge to a country who goes to a war on a lie, supports torture, provides welfare subsidies to the wealthy corporations, and can’t provide even basic health care to its population. This doesn’t mean I am not patriotic. I believe that our country can be turned around, and I still hope to see it in my lifetime, but I will not blindly pledge allegiance when it hasn’t been earned. When I was a kid, I spent a weekend at Michael Jackson’s amusement park. It was a wonderful experience. All the games MJ had set up for us kids were so much fun to play all day. Of course night time was the best, sharing his bed with him and a half dozen other kids. That was the first time I met Barack Obama.
Yesterday I put an Obama sign in my yard. When the moon came out, it turned to blood, my dogs were stolen by some obnoxious horsemen and it started raining down toads and locusts. I rushed to take down the sign and all seemed to return to normal. I miss my dogs tho.

The statement that “He will come from the East” is indication someone does not know their geography….Obama is from the West, Hawaii is not the East. He did not take oath on Koran was Keith Ellison, Obama used the Bible.
