I can’t say I know a whole lot about this issue other than what Mr. Suarez said about it and what was in the paper, but it sure seems about as crass as a city gov’t can get.
I enjoyed Ann Arbor for many years (1969-1982) and raised my two kids there. I was proud of Ann Arbor downtown, which fought its way back after Briarwood opened … and liked how State Street and South University kept their distinctive characters.
The one thing Shakey Jake forgot to do as he passed was to turn out the lights.
I wish our biggest problem in Ypsi was over whether a golf course or an upscale cooking shop got a license to serve beer and wine.
And if they really think that an expensive cooking store with a license to serve wine is what the “creative class” is looking for, they’re out of their minds.

Mr Suarez should know it’s not cancer. It’s cirrhosis of the liver. Of course no one would want to live in a city with DTs.
