Yesterday, a reader in England left the following comment. As he left it in an older thread, I thought that I’d post it here on the front page. I’m not sure what to make of it.
I can’t put my name for obvious reasons, but I work in central London in the heart of the city. Something very odd is happening. In my work place, my manager has left to go home. I saw him leave, with blood shot red eyes. He was walking out rubbing his eyes so much. He was coffin to much; I have never seen him in such a mess before like it looks very serious. After I finished work I went to a local bar and noticed people I had seen, in there before. For some reason they were for the fist time I had seen them all sat together. I noticed that they all had bloodshot read eyes and coffin like crazy. It was messed up I felt like being sick. My manager like this, and now these people who never talk or sit together coffin and 1 or 2 scratching. What is going on, I am sure it’s not me. I so confused could people pleas copy this and ask the same question if they have seen the same in London as well pleas.
Maybe it’s just the repeated use of the word “coffin,” but the first thing to come to mind was — zombie infestation. If there was a “Shawn of the Dead” sequel in the works, I’d bet that it was the beginning of a viral marketing campaign. As there isn’t, I’m not sure what to make of it. Whatever it is, I hope my reader is OK.

Zombie plague sounds logical enough, but how about allergies?
Sure, a zombie outbreak would be terrible. But what really concerns me is that a Brit is speaking (or writing) in such poor English. I’ve always gotten a certain amount of security knowing that the English were keeping their language ‘proper’ while the rest of us butchered it to no end. If the guy who authored that comment really is English, we need to start barricading ourselves in our homes and prepare for the end of civilization.
