turd blossum in flight, afternoon delight

I’m tempted to go and on on about Karl Rove and his announcement today that he’ll be leaving the White House, but it all really boils down to one simple thing… Just because MC Rove decided to jump down a spider hole and disappear from public view for a while doesn’t mean it’s time to celebrate. We need to remain vigalent, and we, as a society, need to keep pursuing Rove and other administration officials through every legal channel at our disposal. If laws were broken, these individuals need to be brought to justice. I know there are some that say we should focus on the future and cleaning up their mess, and I agree, but, in my opinion, our democracy cannot begin to heal until this band of neo-conmen are made to pay for what they’ve done. We can’t afford to let them slither away from this sinking ship unpunnished. If we don’t deal with them now, you can bet your ass they’ll be back later, looking to further fuck with the world on behalf of their corporate sponsors and their lunatic base.

Is it coincidence or Jesus’s will — that such a man comes on the job market just when a local institution most needs him — I think EMU just found their new president!

I doubt it’s the case, but some are suggesting that his announcement of Rove’s has something to do with Larry Flynt’s renewed campaign to ferret out Republican perverts.

I would like to celebrate, but I don’t see this as incapacitating him in any serious way. He may even be able to expand his activities once he leaves office and is no longer under the public service microscope. I don’t mean to be such a downer. It is a positive thing that we will no longer have that individual holding such an important position of official power. They will not be able to find a replacement so brilliant and diabolical.

we don’t live in a democracy (mob rule).. we live in a (democratic) republic. There’s a big difference.

Anyone who believes that GWB, Rove, Cheney, Wolfowitz, or any of the other criminals will ultimately get what they deserve … must also believe that Nancy Pelosi and John Dingell are gonna run away to Las Vegas in a Prius and get hitched!

    One, two, three … jump!

If you read Goethe, Steiner or other more current philosopher-poets … fagetit! Let’em go their way. Stay focus on you, your loved ones and the beauty in the world. The ugliness of science is a passing fad that is easily ignored. All you need is one flower in your garden to begin your happiness. Peace!

Egpenet has leveled unsubstantiated accusations against our illustrious leadership. The fact that I completely agree with his characterization is beside the point. He lacks hard evidence, and could never prove this administration has committed any crimes…which of course was his point.

I have nothing to say about the second part of his comments. Goethe? Steiner? All that shit goes right over my head.

It looks like my overnight shift is almost over. OK, I guess I’ll be turning the shop back over to you daylight dwellers.
