    I suppose when you’re surrounded by folks hurling stones, it’s a natural impulse to crawl to anyone who says, “Neither do I condemn you.” I agree with Robert’s 6/9 sympathetic post that Hilton’s behavior is understandable. I agree with Mark’s posts that her behavior is inexcusable. But, I’m not quite ready to warm myself by the fire of her smoldering celebrity. I like to think everyone’s redeemable.

    That said, I cringe a little at her invoking God. Instead of pretending she’s dumb she’ll pretend she cares.
