does anyone else get the sense that something really weird is happening?

The dead birds in Austin. The east coast mystery smell. The UFOs over Chicago? (Not to mention the discovery from space of the primitive Colonel Sanders etching.) I’m kind of preoccupied these days with thoughts of real, immediate, tangible stuff, like potential terrorist attacks, and Bush trying to read our mail, but I wonder if maybe all of that pales in comparison to what’s really happening… Am I the only one getting the feeling that maybe some cosmic shit’s about to hit the fan?

Depending on how I read it, “Bush trying to read our mail” is either scary or really funny. I’m opting for “funny” at the moment. I’m going to start using really long words that don’t have anything to do with football.
