Following are quotes from two of our nation’s presidents.
Quote 1: “I must tell you, I’m sleeping a lot better than people would assume.“
Quote 2: “I have been driven many times upon my knees by the overwhelming conviction that I had nowhere else to go. My own wisdom and that of all about me seemed insufficient for that day.“
One of these quotes is by George Bush. The other is by Abraham Lincoln. I’ll let you guess which is which, and draw your own conclusions.
update: On second thought, I’ll go ahead and tell you. The first quote was from our current leader, George Bush the Younger. He said it a few days ago, and it’s still got me pissed – the fuck – off. If I had a child serving in Iraq right now, I’d be standing outside the White House, demanding his immediate removal from office… A real leader, like Lincoln, struggles under the weight of his responsibilities.

Speaking of absolutely unforvigable quotes, did you hear what Cheney said about Rumsfeld yesterday? He called him the finest Secretary of Defense our nation has ever had.
And Bush’s attributed quote about the Baker Report … that “I think it’s a flying piece of shit” … I believe attributed to him by Maureen Dowd in the NYT, or maybe not Maureen, but the NYT.
