creative writing 101: the mick crichton character study

I can’t imagine anyone having the time to do this, especially now, during the holiday season, but I decided to follow through on the idea I mentioned in yesterday’s post and set up a wiki for a collaborative writing project built around an absolutely reprehensible fictional character who goes by the name of Mick Crichton. The wiki can be found here. And, the password, in case they ask for one, is: asshole

So, if you have a moment, add a thought or two. And, please remember, even though the point is to make the character of this short story the most evil, disgusting, immoral man in the world, we probably shouldn’t get too graphic when describing what it is that he actually does. (We’d hate to have some sick individual out there on the internets get off on this.) So, keep this phrase in mind: “Elucidate, Don’t Titillate.” I know it’s a hard line to walk, but please try to do your best…. As for where the short story should go, I’ll leave that up to you. I’ll just throw down the first few words. Feel free to change them if you like.

I really have worked out the rump roast piece in my head. Like you said, it’s the holiday season … but, in time, it will come.
