    The image comes from our friend Ubu, who found it stuck inside an old pulp novel he picked up somewhere.

    I thought that she was holding a fishing pole the first few times I looked at it, but it’s a whip, isn’t it? It’s interesting how our brains try to interpret things in the context of what we know. In another 100 years someone will probably see something altogether different.
