prawn curry and naan

I don’t cook as much as I used to. Maybe it was all those years working in restaurants that burned me out, but I just don’t have that much of an interest in trying new things. I help Linette cook, and I make a few old standbys, but I’m generally not the one breaking new ground. The last few weekends, however, I’ve been surprising myself. Today, I made a shrimp dish that I’d seen on VideoJug and it turned out really well. (VideoJug is an online community of experts showing other people, via video, how to do things.) I don’t know what accounts for the change, but it’s good to be back in the kitchen trying new stuff… Anyway, if you want to make a good prawn curry check out this link. (The VideoJug recipe for naan is also really good, and much easier that I’d expected.) Next weekend, if I haven’t given up meat by then, I’ll be trying Robert Rodriguez’s puerco pibil recipe from the “Once Upon a Time in Mexico” DVD.
