And this is what it took to make the jump to CAPS?
The Iraq war didn’t do it. Being called an “idiot” by the Mayor’s wife didn’t do it. Being told to “fuck off” by Howard Kunstler didn’t do it. The stealing of the election didn’t do it – either time. But not knowing about the Different Strokes reenactment – that got you worked up into a CAPS IN THE HEADLINE lather.
I apologize. I had read that this would be on, and forgotten about it.
I am far more worried about the two-part “The Path to 9/11” movie to be aired on ABC this coming Sunday and Monday night. It’s already known to be full of inaccuracies, distortions and outright fabrications:

And I am very unhappy that Scholastic Books is helping to promote this. Their online material does not contain any blatant falsehoods, but is still disturbingly slanted:

I am already working patiently with my own kids to try to explain to them the difference between factual accuracy and fiction as protrayed in dramatic and entertaining films. Jack and Rose (and Ruth, Cal and Lovejoy) were 100% fictional characters, but every other detail in “Titanic” was portrayed as 100% accurately as possible. It’s going to be much tougher to dissect “The Path to 9/11” with them. I sure as hell don’t trust the schools to do it.
I believe Mark is using the word “PISSED” in the British sense: that is, drunk. That would explain the caps.
I figured you would have noticed on your own, it had a lot of hype and promos.
I don’t have Tivo, but I would have guessed that it should have recorded it for you, based on your viewing choices of the past few years.
You know the old saying, old obsessions are golden. Pay too much attention to Ypsi politics and Stupor and you risk overlooking Diff’rent Strokes docudramas.
Too busy reading the news to enjoy life. It’s a sad story.
Did it contain any re-enactments of Dana Plato’s descent into lesbian porn? If so, I’m PISSED I missed it too.
I wish I hadn’s seen it. The reenactment of Gary Coleman fisting Mrs. Garret is going to be with me until my dying day.
