the ypsilanti mayoral debate is over

The debate went very well last night. There should be a podcast and video of it available soon. From our informal counts, there were anywhere from 275 to 350 people there. There’s lots more to say, but that’s all I have time for now. If you were there and have thoughts, please leave a note.

Why the heck ain’t you running for mayor?

    First the Zombies.

    Then the Shadow Art Fair.

    Now the Debate.

I bet if you spend a couple nanoseconds thinking about it, you could solve our fiscal crisis without even leaving your desk . . . .

Mark, Linette, Rachel, Murph, Linda … EVERYONE … the debate was fabulous. Best comments I heard … and from several people, actually, was … “Not so sure. Had my mind made up. Now I have a lot to think about.” The audience got something from all of the candidates, which plays to your even-handedness and how smooth the night went. Also, to the candidates, themselves.

I have the secret tapes that will keep Mark from ever running for office. Unless of course… he does my bidding.

I knew that photo of Donna Rice on my lap would come back to haunt me.

And thanks again to Sam for all his hard work doing the audio and video…. We’re especially greatful for his time as he, as a person living in the Township, has absolutely no reason to care what happens in the city.
