with an introduction by al franken

I got a call from Clear Channel tonight, asking if I’d be available to do an interview about the Shadow Art Fair. Not being a huge fan of Clear Channel, I had my doubts, but I reluctantly agreed… It wasn’t until after the interview that the guy told me that Clear Channel in addition to owning and operating three local stations, provided the content during the news breaks on Ann Arbor’s Air America affiliate… So, I guess, if they’re able to piece something coherent together from my interview, that I may end up on a few local stations… Anyway, let me know if you hear my awkward, stammering voice coming out of your radio.

Haven’t heard it yet, though our local Air America station has about a powerful signal as sneeze from a 13 year old with a mouthfull of orthodontics…

1310 AM in Detroit has a better signal, even into Ypsi. Clear Channel actually distributes quite a bit of AA’s shows/ content.

1310 works well during the day, but when I try to find it at night, it’s gone… It doesn’t really matter now though. The reason I was trying to listen at night was because they were airing the Phil Hendrie show from LA. Phil has since announced his retirement from radio though. He’s pursuing a career in television.
