Did Specter cave and propose blanket amnesty for those involved in illegal government surveillance? The evidence seems to be that he did, but Specter says it’s not true… As he’s tended to be somewhat spineless of late, my guess is that, when push comes to shove, he’ll toe the Bush line and do what he can to nip the investigation against the National Security Agency in the bud, but I guess we’ll see soon enough.
