gone fishing

When asked for the “best moment” of his presidency by a member of the German press, Bush, after giving it some thought, said that it would have to be the time that he caught a large perch in his lake. One would hope that this would be the straw that broke the camel’s back, and that people would start surrounding the Whitehouse with torches and pitchforks, demanding their country back. But, I’m sure this will somehow just draw the idiotic third of Americans who still support his presidency even closer to him.

Not launching the Peace Corps, or watching the Berlin Wall be torn down, but catching a fucking fish… This is the pathetic little puppet of a man that we made our President and we deserve every goddamned thing that happens to us.

The AP is reporting that the fish is in fact a large-mouthed bass. Someone’s trying to cover something up and we need to get to the bottom of this. And the first time he told the story the fish was only 6 lbs.

Perch is his nickname for Laura, and it wasn’t “fishing”. It was “fisting.”

Wow. I don’t know if anything I can say after Tony’s comment would come close to the humor bar he’s set, but here it goes…

It’s like the bumper sticker says, Mark: “The worst day of fishing is better than the best day of running the country.” and that was a mighty fine day of fishing.

Actually, it’s being reported today that this 7+ pound perch that Bush bragged of catching is about three pounds heavier than the largest perch ever caught. Yes, I know it’s hard to believe, but he either lied, or was confused.

I think he would have answered “Noodling Laura.”
