Yesterday, on their blog, Matt and Rene Greff mentioned that they were looking for volunteers to come and help them work on their new brewery (in exchange for free beer). Being the dick that I am, I showed up bright and early this morning with Clementine and my camera, and no intention whatsoever of helping. What you see here are a few of the resulting photos… As you can see, there’s still quite a bit of work to be done, but they’ve made a hell of a lot of progress over the last month, and, according to Matt, they’re still on schedule for a mid-April production run and a May launch. So, start saving your pennies – the first annual “Buy Mark Maynard a Beer Day” will be here before you know it.

So you got up extra early on a weekend to drink in front of your kid. Geez, you sound like my Dad.
Nope. No beer for me today. It’s not that I wouldn’t. I just didn’t.
It’s nice to know after the Frost cabin and Disneyland/world pictures that you still have a digital camera capable of taking images that are in focus.
actually, anonymatt, I’m pretty sure that clementine took these photos, using a tripod for the first one. Don’t start giving mark credit where it might not be due.
The only credit I gave Mark was the possibility that he might have a digital camera that can take images in focus. I never mentioned who took the photos. It could have been someone else’s camera, anyway.
Trust me, I never give Mark credit when there’s the remotest possibility that it might not be due. Mark can back me up on this, I’m sure.
I’m so there. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the extra scratch to get one of the cool investor/membership things they were selling. But maybe Matt and Rene will still let me drink their beer.
You’ll have to update all of your old posts to reflect the fact that they’re no longer the Corner Brewery.
From Facebook:
“Please feel free to continue to call us Corner. I probably will. But I for one would rather have a brewery in Ypsi called Arbor Brewing Company Microbrewery than no brewery at all and the truth is we need more people from around the state visiting the brewery if we want to thrive. It has been a challenging 7 years and we are committed to doing everything in our power to succeed . We can’t tell you how much your fierce loyalty means to us and we sincerely hope that won’ t change with a bit of rebranding. We will always be your corner brewery. – Rene and Matt”
