just checking-in between trips to the public toilet

I’m far from home with terrible diarrhea.

And this (I think) is completely unrelated, but when exactly did the pizza at Aubree’s start sucking?

My condolences. I was warned to buy Immodium before going to Cambodia but never needed to take any.

    I haven’t had the pizza lately, so i can’t really pinpoint a shark-jump.

I will say that it started sucking the moment they began making it several years ago, and were still experimenting with the recipe (my wife and i went there, and as they’d only been making it for a week they had a deal where it was 50% off if you filled in a questionaire about it). After a couple months, they got it right, and we began to really like it. A while after that, obviously with growing self-confidence, they opened their first ‘pizza shop’ south of Ypsi.

Please clarify what issues you have with the pizza: What toppings did you get, Did your waitress have visible razor burn, etc.

What began as a terrible, terrible thing may in fact have an up-side. Maybe it’s just the Olympic fever in the air, but I’m starting to think that a world diarrhea record may be within my reach… If anyone in the audience has access to such information, please let me know who currently holds the title. I suspect that four days straight on the toilet must put me pretty close to the head of the pack, but I’m not aware of trends, especially when it comes to the international competitive diarrhea circuit.

As for Aubree’s, I always loved their pizza. It was the best in town. We’d have it a few times a month (even once they stopped printing the coupons for $5 Mondays). The one we got from them earlier this week though just sucked. Nothing seemed right. The crust was off. The sauce tasted like it was straight from a can. I just found it very depressing. (Of course, the diarrhea soon overshadowed that.)

If only someone had thought to throw an earlier Aubree’s pizza in the freezer, we could have an official taste test.

Whoah, I just searched “suck Olympic diarrhea,” and I found this page.

For what it’s worth, I’ve had Aubree’s pizza again since this post that was good (but still not up to par with what it had once been). Today, however, it was pretty bad. The sauce tasted canned and the cheese was plasticy. It’ll be a while before I try again.
