the connection is sketchy

Sorry I haven’t been around much these past few days, but, contrary to what the literature said, most of the coffee shops here in Port-au-Prince don’t have wifi… The open sore on my hand doesn’t seem to be healing, and, as of this morning, every tooth that I’ve tugged on has come loose. (I stopped tugging after the third one came out.) The Hatian doctors are telling me that it’s a “healing crisis,” and that I’ll be better than ever once its run its course, but I don’t know that I believe them. (I’m saving the teeth in my shirt pocket, just in case they’re wrong and the buds of healthy new teeth don’t start sprouting up from my gums in the next few days.) Anyway, I just wanted to drop by and say hello… If all goes well, I’ll be back in a few days – better than ever.

update: OK, I’m sorry to have done that to you all, but that was a lie. Actually, it was more of a test than it was a lie. You see, I was just checking to see how well the Anonymatt 5000 Truth Sensor (optimized for Mark Maynard) was working. Apparently, it wasn’t. Almost 18 hours have passed since the above was posted and there hasn’t been a peep… I promise that we’ll keep working on it, but, in the meantime, just assume that everything you read here is a lie. (I’ve actually in Papua New Guinea these past few weeks, working on an underwater mining operation at the request of the French government.)

It was a test, Kez – and the Anonymatt failed us all.

I stated I wouldn’t expose any of your lies anymore unless they directly involved me. I am true to my word, you should try doing the same sometime.

I will comment on lies after they are exposed, as I commented on your claim that you were going to say that the little MM icon was the result of Iranian hackers.

With any luck, Theodore Glass enjoyed your amusing though transparently false tale of a trip to Haiti.

If anyone is depending on me to sort through the fact and fiction posted on this site, I am going on a long vacation soon, so you won’t see me posting much until mid-February.
