OK, since no one came forward with any ideas for the Zombie Claus logo after I posted my request a few days ago, I thought that I’d take the first step and throw out a rough sketch to get the ball rolling. I think these are both a bit too sinister – I’m not so strong when it comes to the finer points of illustration. (That hard part, it seems to me, is going to be striking the delicate balance between fun-loving and un-dead.) So, let me know if you have any thoughts… Once we get a logo done, and a website launched, we can start our marketing campaign. We’ve only got two weeks now, so time is of the essence.

I think he should be more jolly looking with part of his brain exposed. And yes, his hat should be dripping blood. BTW, I’m sending out holiday cards this year. My cards also have a different kind of Santa Claus on it.
What? No entries from Collin on a request for a Zombie drawing? What is the world coming to???
I can’t draw to save my life, so I’m no help!
The gore dripping off the cotton ball at the tip fo the red felt hat should not be lost. That image says it all.
I think that his skin should be a nice light blue.
I never saw a request for a logo. Strange. Sure enough, there it is. I must have skimmed right past it. Is this something you are planning on printing or would it be web only? Any color limitation (b&w, 2-color, full color)? Minimum and maximum size? I need details man! In the meantime I’ll see if I can get something drawn up before the end of the work day and base it around the size of your sketches. Not sinister, huh? Hard to not get a bit sinister when you’re making Santa into a zombie.
Some worms in the beard would be festive.
Okay, I’ve sent a logo. If you can’t take a look at it until later tonight email any feedback you might have to my home account. Or just comment here. Whatever. It’s not jolly. I just can’t do a jolly zombie. Okay, perhaps I can. But I didn’t. I didn’t want to take too long since, as you said, time is of the essence. And I’m at work. And other excuses. I’m going to lunch now.
I’m working on one… but it’s only half way done. I need more time!
Good submissions in the in-box. I’ll start posting them shortly. Thanks, everyone… And keep them coming.
