peter falk doesn’t make the marquee

No time to blog tonight… Too much studying to do for tomorrow’s interview with Peter Falk. I did, however, want to show you what other acts are coming to the Crystal Gardens Entertainment Complex in Southgate.

Just a warning, if you go to the Chippendales show, be sure to wear some sort of protective eyewear if you’re seated near the front. The last time I went to see them perform, I got a crab in my eye… They really should warn people. (At least when Gallagher played Crystal Gardens they handed out ponchos to all of us in the first five rows.)

So, are all four of those acts playing at the SAME show, together?

Will Wayne Newton strip? Will George Jones cover “Danke Schoen” in a duck voice?

It went really well. I was the only person there, in a group of about 600, that was under 65. My time with Falk, while incredibly short, went really well. I’ll try to post something quick tonight, but I’ll probably be saving most of it for the next issue of Crimewave and The Ann Arbor Paper.

And I love the DeLay mugshot. I bet he practiced that for hours and hours, trying to look upbeat and innocent. Someone should have done something to set him off right before they clicked the photo.

I have no doubt that he had makeup people touching him up on the way to the booking. He knew the upcoming portrait was going to be on every single news magazine and in every newspaper tomorrow. Further more, it may end up being the photo most associated with him in the future. Your grandkids will be asking you who that nervously jubilant man in their history books is. Hopefully these permalinks will still work then.
