tivo alert: guns, germs and steel

I bought UCLA biologist-geographer Jared Diamond’s Pulitzer Prize-winning book “Guns, Germs and Steel: The Fates of Human Societies” (1997) a while ago, but I’ve yet to read it. And, now that it’s going to be on PBS (starting tonight), I don’t know that I ever will… Thank you, Tivo.

’twas a very good read. read a few years ago at the beach. So that’s where all those big lumbering animals went. However, I felt it was rather unfortunate that it essentially read like a compendium of his lecture notes though, and of his undergrad courses no less.
