can i wear a thong?

I just received the following question from a reader named Lindsey Henderson, and I don’t have an answer… Do you?

Could you please tell me what ever happened to the regulations regarding wearing a thong on Fort Myers beach? I can’t keep up. Is it allowed, not allowed, and what is the punishment for it? Any information would be helpful. Thanks.

As much as I’d like to think that a great number of my readers are “thong worthy,” I suspect that the person writing in is more a thong-enthusiast than a wearer of such garments. I might be wrong about this, but I suspect there are, at most, two readers of this blog, male or female, that wouldn’t make people wretch if outfitted in a thong. (If you’d like to prove me wrong, please feel free to send a photo.) I could be completely wrong about that, but I don’t imagine that many models care to check in each day to see what I’m anxious about… At any rate, if you know the answer to the above question, please leave a comment. (Lindsey is, no doubt, in a hotel room somewhere in Fort Meyers, thong in hand, waiting for a response. So, please hurry.)

And, Lindsey, if you do decide to go to Fort Myers beach in a thong, we’d love to hear about the experience.

If you like, I can send you the photo I have up at Match.com. It’s just a crotch shot of me in a silver thong. The response from the ladies has been fantastic.

Hmmm… I didn’t have actual people in mind, Chelsea. If you’d like, I could give it some thought though… Did you want to be in the running? And, if so, would you consider posing for some shots with Tony, if it turns out that you get the second slot? Our readership has kind of leveled out these past few months and I think a little sex might be in order to bring back the exponential growth that capitalism demands.

And, Dorothy, as I have a grandmother about your age who shares your name, I can’t tell you how disturbing that was.

I don’t know the legal answer, maybe she shoud check with the local authorities. However, unless you are way over weight – I see no reason why you could not wear a thong. I would love to know the outcome, if Fort Myers doesn’t permit thongs on the beach I can add it to my cities not to visit list.

My god, I’m a little stunned that you knew what I meant! First of all, my paternal grandmother was a Dorothy, too.
As for posing, I’m a prude, dude. So I won’t say anything else about this here. But I do have to wonder what kind of image you have of your readers.

I’m imagining you all in thongs at this very moment.

You should ask that question on the Thong Wearers Message Board. They have several threads on thongs on the west coast of Florida.

I have looked on line, and see no ordances in the Fort Myers City code, or the Lee County code, that suggests they are more restrictive than the state of Florida. So it looks like thongs are OK!

Do check with other users on the Thong Wearers Message Board. It’f free to signup and post, just don’t take the optional user upgrades.
