I go to sleep for a few days while the parasites run their course and when I wake up I find out that a church in North Carolina has excommunicated all the Democrats in its congregation and that Kansans, having come completely unhinged at the thought of evolution, have now decided to officially challenge the definition of “science”. All I can think is, “Wow! What an exciting, fucking time to be alive!” (Thanks to Steve Cherry for the completely depressing Kansas link.)

I read that the Church said it wasn’t a politically motivated decision… which I’m having a hard time understanding.
It makes you wonder just how bad things are going to spiral out of control by the time next elections come around — what a fucking mess the next president gets to clean up.
Also in that story, the risk they run of losing their tax exemption status. I’ll believe it when I see it.
