Thanks to Ken for sneaking up through a drainpipe, at great risk to himself, and snapping this image of the U.S. Republican Guard as they prepare to launch their “nuclear ” attack against our antiquated system of checks and balances.

That’s “Nuke You Ler”.
OK, so I just got around to reading the latest Economist (5/21). It has a fantastic article, “Armageddon for the Senate” (cut and paste if you want it: http://www.economist.com/printedition/displayStory.cfm?Story_ID=3992231), regarding the nuclear option, filibusters in general, and a reprint of a table that I think someone earlier unsuccessfully tried to import. Unfortunately the filibuster article requires registration.
They give a fresh non-partisan perspective that I think their distance allows them.
Oh, and by the way, is it any wonder Mike Bell feels compelled to defend Bush Jr. in the WalMart blog? The red hair comment was juvenile and insulting given his past history here.
Good article, Chris. Thanks for the link… As for the “red hair” comment, it didn’t bother me. Thanks for jumping in to defend my paternity though.
