mwa: muppets with attitude

I mentioned to my friend Dave that someone had finally succeeded in removing all of the extraneous stuff from NWA’s classic “Straight Outta Compton”… something that scientists have been talking about doing for years. (By “extraneous” I mean all the words that aren’t considered profanities). Dave responded with something that I suspect has been around for a while, but that I’d never seen, a video of the Muppets lip-syncing NWA’s “Fuck the Police”… I can’t imagine a better way to start my Monday morning. (And I can’t wait to show it to Clementine.)

And how about that Muppet ARCHITECTURE?

(Sorry, if that came across as a bit forced, but I was desperate to get another architecture post up for Ken.)

Speaking of NWA, I wonder where Ice Cube’s career will be in another fifteen years… When you’ve gone from NWA to family-friendly fare like “Are We There Yet”, I’d say anything’s possible… And “Senator Cube” has a nice ring to it.

And, while we’re on the subject of drastic career shifts, one wonders if, had GG Allin lived, he might have cleaned himself up and joined the cast of Boohbah by now… Or maybe he’d be on the road with the touring cast of “Up With People.” It’s a shame we’ll never know.

OK, that was some brilliant shit Mark. I go away for awhile and I come back initially wondering if this blog was as totally cool and fascinating as I think it is? And yup it is!

The muppets, NWA, boohbahs (which I have added to my favorites), and gg allin link…all in one log entry? And the gg allin link has a link to the suicide girls! The site catalogues one of the more fascinating anthropological components of pomo priviledged homo sapien sapien female society.

    Glad to be back!

I’m glad to see you hadn’t taken your life or something, Chris.

    Welcome home.

And Senator Cube could court the Black Irish Muslim vote.
O’ Shea Jackson 2006, although if Common Sense is to be believed, he won’t play very well in the midwest.

I’m listening to GG Allin’s “Needle Up My Cock” right now and watching Boohbah. I feel incredibly dirty.

I’d hate to die right now and have someone find me like this.

The idea of muppet architecture sounds very intriguing. Buildings constructed of thick, brightly colored slabs of felt attached to organic armatures. It certainly wouldn’t look any weirder than what Rem Koolhaus is doing.

Rem Koolhaus! Rem Koolhaus! Everywhere I look I either see Rem Koolhaus or hear people talking about Rem Koolhaus. Good God, you’d think Phillip Johnson was dead or something.

I know Mr. Morris, a frequent contributor to the comments section, is a huge fan of Rem Koolhaas. He just loves the Seattle Public Library he did.

I start a thread on GG Allin and somehow you people divert it to Rem Koolhaas. You’re sick fucks, and you should be ashamed.
