Starting today, Americans living in the Midwest can request one free copy of their credit report per year. (Other areas of the country are coming on-line at different times – see the image to the right for details.) If you live in the West or the Midwest, you can download your report today, after filling out a short form here… I know very little about the law that’s making this possible, or the history behind it (I suspect the credit reporting agencies put up one hell of a fight), but it seems like a pretty fucking good idea to me. After all, It’s Our Information.

What does it mean to have a warrant out for one’s arrest for non-payment of child support? Certainly they can’t be suggesting that I should have been paying for all of these years for a few ejaculatory indescressions?
