trolls ahoy

OK, I’ve got some big blog news for you all…. After three days of secret negotiations, Steve Cherry and I have finally come to terms and I have agreed to transfer title of all MM.com trolls to his on-line enterprise. This was not an easy thing for me to do, but Steve, intent on enjoying the additional page-views that come with troll ownership, drove a hard bargain. In exchange for said trolls, Steve will be relinquishing to me his prison tattoo Polaroid collection, a year’s supply of flavored dental floss, and an autographed photo of the late Shirley Hemphill. (I was going to keep Mike and one of his aliases, but Steve threw in the autograph.)

So, as much as it pains me to say this, there will be no more trolls here at MarkMaynard.com… As of tomorrow morning at 8:00 AM, all trolls are to report for work at The Seat of Revolution dotcom.

I had wanted to say more, but I’m getting all choked up… So, let me just say, “Goodbye my shit-flinging friends. I will never forget these beautiful days we’ve spent together.”

Oh, as for your work at Steve’s site, he’s asked that you begin by going through the archives and pointing out any posts that you find unpatriotic or otherwise objectionable… And, he was adamant that he wanted, “the deluxe troll treatment.”

I’m thinking that we should issue a press release or something. This, I believe, is the first troll exchange in history.

That is an excellent solution to everybody’s problem. We will all know where to go on those surly mornings when we crave a foul heaping helping of vitriol and our AM radio isn’t working so well.

It’s probably going to be “An Army of One”.

Shoot. I was hoping maybe Mark might give me one or two trolls. I only have one thus far (envious). Ah well. They’re going to a good home (have they gotten all their shots? does Steve have individual food and water bowls and Meaty Treats for them?–doubtless he does. Lucky trolls.)
