so, where did the gannon story go?

So, it’s been a few weeks now and it still doesn’t seem as though the Gannon story is getting much traction in the corporate news. Even the sex angle wasn’t enough to draw them in. Here’s a clip from a Salon article on the matter:

Ordinarily, revelations that a former male prostitute, using an alias (Jeff Gannon) and working for a phony news organization, was ushered into the White House — without undergoing a full-blown security background check — in order to pose softball questions to administration officials would qualify as news by any recent Beltway standard. Yet as of Thursday, ABC News, which produces “Good Morning America,” “World News Tonight With Peter Jennings,” “Nightline,” “This Week,” “20/20” and “Primetime Live,” has not reported one word about the three-week-running scandal. Neither has CBS News (“The Early Show,” “The CBS Evening News,” “60 Minutes,” “60 Minutes Wednesday” and “Face the Nation”). NBC and its entire family of morning, evening and weekend news programs have addressed the story only three times. Asked about the lack of coverage, a spokesperson for ABC did not return calls seeking comment, while a CBS spokeswoman said executives were unavailable to discuss the network’s coverage.

If you’re curious as to why your favorite network isn’t covering this story, send them an email and ask.

First, liberals claimed Gannon was a White House plant who received a press pass so that he could ask softball questions

Answer something for me, Burt. How would the right wing have reacted had this happened five years ago, during the Clinton administration? What would the response have been if it had been discovered that a wealthy Clinton supporter in Arkansas had created a pseudo-news organization for the express purpose of getting a party operative (unqualified as a reporter and using an alias) into the White House press room to ask questions which included throwaway lines about the Republicans being

News has always been skewed, skewed via every angle we can possibly imagine. Never has it been less skewed than it is today. Why should anyone find this surprising??

I still think it’s all worthless drivel however…

Mike, I provided you with a list of Gannon’s questionable questions last week. Could you please send me a sample of the questions that Hellen Thomas asked that you find so offensive? I’d like to comaire them.

I don’t think it is what she says is objectionalble, it is because she is an A-rab.

I was driving with someone listening to Rush’s show yesterday and he referenced Hellen Thomas. It may have been with regard to the Gannon story, but I didn’t hear the context. He was saying that the WH Press Corps had been full of agenda-wielding liberals forever and gave “that Arab” (great link, Ken), Hellen Thomas as evidence. So, that’s probably where Mike picked this up. As I don’t think Rush gave any examples of her leftist questions though, I doubt you’ll get a response from Mike. Maybe he’ll find something to cut and paste from somewhere though. Since she’s been reporting from the White House over 25 times longer than Gannon, you would expect there would be a great deal of material to choose from.

Too bad Rob I was really hoping to suck your dick.

But really, is this for real? If it is than I would say everybody truly has their doppleganger.

No, I’m not that other Maynard. He’s written here before. By my last count, there were about eight Maynards in the audience, of which I only know about three. That doesn’t mean we’re not all related. We could be. I just know that three of us are. The other five are people I’ve never even met. This particular Maynard, if we are to believe him, hales from Canada… maybe a descendant of a proud draft-dodging ancestor.

And, by the way, I’m still waiting for the examples of Helen Thomas’ radical partisan behavior.

And I’m still waiting for Galt to name one other reporter with a comparable cv to that of Guckert’s with as much access to not only the breifings but also the same rate of being called on. I said I would even throw out the money for sex thing to make it easier.

Chris, you are not going to have sex with me no matter how much money you throw there.

He’s lied about everything else, Chris. I have no doubt he’s lying about this too. I suspect that if you do have money, he will have sex with you. (Money turns him on.)

If you do have sex with him, please let me know if he yells, “IT’S MY SEMEN!” after ejaculating.

    2 things:

Thing 1: I kind of meant Guckert’s history of prostitution.

Thing 2: Dude, you need to make up your mind, either you’re Galt or you’re not. I do agree with you though, that it is probably the latter.
