It’s just been brought to my attention by a former bandmate that someone is offering three of our old, rare singles on Ebay. So, if you’ve never heard the music of Prehensile Monkey-Tailed Skink before, here’s your chance… My first guess was that it was our old friend Pete putting them up for sale, but I think he’d use different phrases than “manic fuzz-damage,” “spazzed-out racket,” and “childish noise” to describe our work. (I think all those descriptions are legitimate, by the way, I just think that Pete would have used different ones.) Now, I’m thinking that maybe my parents are selling the stuff I have stored in their basement. (The last time I went home, I found my dad burning some of my stuff for heat, so this wouldn’t surprise me one bit.)

We were formerly in that band together, were we not?
Yes, we are still in another band together (The Monkey Power Trio), but, in terms of Prehensile Monkey-Tailed Skink, I maintain that we are former bandmates.
I suppose we’re both right.
I just checked and there’s not one single bid yet. I guess there aren’t too many people out there on the web trying to track down vinyl from obscure midwestern noise bands in the early 90’s.
