Say what you will about the racist hate-monger Bob Jones, he sure knows how to write one hell of a letter. Here’s a little clip from a note that Mr. Jones, the founder of the modestly named Bob Jones University, sent to president Bush after his “victory.”

In your re-election, God has graciously granted America–though she doesn’t deserve it–a reprieve from the agenda of paganism. You have been given a mandate. We the people expect your voice to be like the clear and certain sound of a trumpet. Because you seek the Lord daily, we who know the Lord will follow that kind of voice eagerly.

Don’t equivocate. Put your agenda on the front burner and let it boil. You owe the liberals nothing. They despise you because they despise your Christ. Honor the Lord, and He will honor you.

Yup, the liberals sure do “despise Christ.” If I’m not mistaken, that’s one of the central platforms of the DNC, right along with raising the minimum wage and universal healthcare.

According to Jones, when he read this letter aloud, before the students of Bob Jones University, they interrupted several times with wild applause… As I’m sitting here reading this, I can’t help but wonder, what companies recruit from Bob Jones University? Can one of you call their career placement center tomorrow posing as a student and let me know what they say? And, while you’ve got them on the phone, be sure to ask about their policies on interracial dating. (They still don’t allow it.)
