motor city power-brokers take sides

Since the Detroit News has decided to break with tradition and endorse neither candidate for President this year, two trusted Detroiters have decided to step into the fray and offer their thoughts. On one hand, we have Kid Rock who loves Bush, and on the other we have Eminem who does not… I don’t know that this really warranted an entire post, but I wanted to link to Em’s new Fuck Bush video, which I’m watching as I blog tonight. (The White Stripes, to my knowledge, have not taken sides yet.)

I’m goin out to buy my black hoodie tonight y’all! Mark-you have managed to make me a fan of eminem-something heretofore I never thought possible. Quite powerful. Now where is Public Enemy when you need them, where is system of a down, where is Tool, where is Social Distortion, the Dead Kennedy’s? I have heard that students are coming out in droves to vote. I have also heard tale of a website wherein you can trade your vote with a Naderite in a swingstate if you live in a devoted Dem state (eg-me in NY). Do you know anything about this? is votepair.com. Investigation and advoce please. It sounds like a good idea. My latest paranoid fear? After seeing the photo of Kerry and Clinton in Philly in front of throngs 12 city blocks deep…the GOP puts out a hit on Kerry.

OK, I voted at the TRL site. I felt really bad for voting against Ashlee Simpson, but desperate times call for desperate measures… It would be cool if Eminem stayed at #1 through the election… Let’s all make it a point to vote for “Mosh” every day until then.

Here is Public Enemy’s video. Not quit as powerful as Eminems video. Too much reading, dammit. The animation is kid of weak in comparison also.
