I just received the following note from Dan Gillotte, an MM.com reader in Austin, Texas, on the plan to remove Daniel Johnstons much loved Hi How Are You? mural from the side of the former Sound Exchange building.
I saw on the local news tonight that the resturant owner is going to save the mural. He muttered something about people respecting it as art because it was going to cost him $50,000 to save it.. blah blah blah. Anyway, good news, but do we really need another damn chain burrito shop?
