Lately, Ive been thinking that it might make sense for me to close down MM.com and focus instead on the Crimewave USA site. Im thinking that Linette and I could create a blog over there and open it up to all the regular Crimewave columnists. This, I think, could be a good thing for a number of reasons. First, it would allow for more diversity of opinion. (I get bored of myself, so I know that you must.) Second, it would allow a lot of my friends who dont presently have an on-line outlet, a place in which to speak. Third, content, especially news content, would be more timely The bottom line is, I really think that theres a chance that we could get a robust, little community going.
The question is, if we build a blog at the Crimewave site and give out the passwords and such to all the members of the CW team, would they take to it? Would they feel as compelled as I do to sit down every day or two and spew out content? Id like to think that they would, but Im not sure. Id hate to give this site up, move everything over there and then just have it be me contributing 99% of the stuff. If thats going to be the case, Id rather just keep things like they are.
Maybe theres a compromise. Maybe we could do both. Its something to consider I could use this site to keep everyone posed on the size of my ever-expanding ass, and I could put all the other stuff, all the political, cultural and humorous stuff at CW.com. Or, better yet, I could make this site 100% ball shaving!
I dont know what well end up doing. I just wanted to let you all know that the future might hold some changes Much like Survivor, I think weve got to keep tweaking the formula. Every year we need for there to be some big, draw-dropping change.

I feel like we need something like that. Lets all put on our thinking caps and see what we can come up with. Ive been doing this for about 14 months now and I feel like its time for a change.
