A friend of mine, Sam Trader, whose husband is a Commanding Officer in the Navy, emailed this to me. This just came down from our QA VP. Please Be Aware that this just took place.

Subject: Warning!! UPS
Government regarding purchase of UPS uniforms: BE ALERT!!!! There has been a huge purchase, $32,000 worth, of United Parcel Service (UPS) uniforms on eBay over the last 30 days. This could represent a serious threat as bogus drivers can drop off anything to anyone with deadly consequences! If you have ANY questions when a UPS driver appears at your door, they should be able to furnish VALID I.D.. Additionally, if someone in a UPS uniform comes to make a drop off or pick up, make absolutely sure they are driving a UPS truck. UPS doesn’t make deliveries or pickups in anything except a company vehicle. If you have a problem, IMMEDIATELY call your local law enforcement agency right away! TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY! Tell everyone in your office, family, friends, etc. Make people aware so that we can prepare and/or avoid terrorist attacks on our people! Thank you for your time in reviewing this and PLEASE send to EVERYONE on your list, even if they are friend or foe. We should all be aware!

Im so disappointed in my mom for believing this. I feel like crying. This is what our fucking world has come to. Were going to be peaking out our windows to see if our UPS men are getting into brown trucks. Were going to be asking our UPS men for valid ID, like wed know what the fuck valid UPS ID looks like. Absolutely fucking asinine.
( time passes) Now that Ive cooled down a bit, I still think this is a stupid urban myth, but its actually not that bad of an idea, at least from a terrorists perspective. UPS men get access everywhere, and they dont typically have to show ID. Hmmmm. Maybe my mom knows what shes talking about. Maybe I should start to suspect UPS men.
I need to add UPS men to my list of things to be afraid of, along with Gambian rats that pal around with prairie dogs, and brain-eating baboons.
