OK, I’ve decided to enter the Paco-drawing contest. Here is my submission. If my count is right, this is the tenth and final entry.
So, there it is. The Paco-drawing contest that so captured the imagination of the world over these past few weeks has finally drawn to a close. Now we must all get on with our lives again. I know thats not going to be easy, but you have to keep telling yourself that other equally as interesting, prize-less art contests will come along.
On the subject of Paco, the lower jaw-less dog with the enlarged nipple that our reader, Shannon, claims to have found wearing a sweater in a cemetery in the dead of winter, I have not heard a word since early last week. At that point, Shannon assured me that photographic proof of the little dog would be on its way. As its not yet here (I promised to share it with everyone after we had ten submissions), Im not sure what to think. One scenario is of course that Shannon had made the whole thing up, in a desperate attempt to impress us. The other scenario is that she has been kidnapped by the thugs who were harassing her. (If youll recall, she was also being intimidated by the associates of her former roommate, a drug-dealing pimp/cancer patient.)
So, thats where we are today. The art contest has come to a close, but I have no photo to show Perhaps if we all pray every hard, Shannon will be able to break free from wherever she is and make her way home to photograph Paco.
