Collin, the guy who sent in the most recent drawing of Paco, the lower-jaw-less Chihuahua, did a little research on the story of Bush praying at the bedside of the wounded American soldier that I posted here a few days ago. He found a mention of the newly circulating e-mail chain letter at Snopes. Apparently, they havent, as of yet, classified it as an urban myth… It seems to me a hard thing to either prove of disprove. I have no doubt that Bush prayed at the bedside of a wounded solder. The part of the story that offended me was the narrators insistence that Bush was Christ-like in his humility and kindness. That line, Im certain, had to be crafted by Karl Rove and the devil in the caves beneath the White House.
