skin flakes: terry says that five of Don Knotts’ films will be re-mastered and released on DVD September 2nd. (Perhaps fate is paying Don back for the injustice that was done him in the made-for-TV biopic on Three’s Company.)
organ meat: dave says its pretty rare, but a baby was just born in his mothers iron-rich liver. (The egg apparently fell out of the fallopian tube and implanted itself on the juicy liver.)
bone chips: Robert Byrd, the Democratic Senator from the great state of West Virginia, just gave another historic speech from the Senate floor. Heres a clip:
It appears to this Senator that the American people may have been lured into accepting the unprovoked invasion of a sovereign nation, in violation of long-standing International law, under false premises
And mark my words, the calculated intimidation which we see so often of late by the “powers that be” will only keep the loyal opposition quiet for just so long. Because eventually, like it always does, the truth will emerge. And when it does, this house of cards, built of deceit, will fall.
He may not be your favorite politician, and he undoubtedly has political motivation for saying the things that he does, but you have to respect the guy for saying what few other Democrats are willing to. The old Byrds got balls.
lard: for what its worth, i agree with William Safire that the FCC should not allow great media consolidation.
