Last night, I was listening to a call-in radio show while driving home from work. There was a police officer on the line and he was talking about the odd 911 calls that he’d been called out on… Apparently, in certain areas people don’t think twice about calling 911 at the slightest provocation. One time, he said, he was dispatched to a trailer park where a alcoholic woman’s children had called 911 to report that their mother had used her hand to stir the Kool-Aid. That amazed me.
